Ramadan Reward Scheme Terms (the “Terms”)
1. The promoter of this Ramadan rewards scheme ("Reward Scheme") is TikTok Pte. Ltd. of 1 Raffles Quay, #26-10, South Tower, Singapore 048583 (TikTok, we, us and our).
2. The Reward Scheme is open to existing registered TikTok App users who are:
i) aged 21 or over; and
ii) who are resident in the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or Egypt (excluding anyone referred to in section 3)
(an “Existing User”).
3. The Reward Scheme is not open to employees of Nice One, Noon and Namshi and TikTok (and any purported referrals from any of the following shall not be eligible for the purposes of the Reward Scheme).
4. The Reward Scheme is only available between 19 April 2021 until 31 May 2021 subject to availability ("Availability Period"), unless we amend or withdraw the Reward Scheme in accordance with these Terms.
5. For a user to be eligible to receive a Voucher (as defined in section 7 below) under this Reward Scheme the user must earn at least three thousand (3000) points. Users are eligible to earn points by completing any of the following activities:
a. Referral Scheme; and
b. Carrying out Additional Tasks,
all as further set out below.
Referral Scheme.
“New User” means a new user who at the commencement of the Availability Period does not have a TikTok account on the TikTok App, is aged 21 or over and who is a resident in the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or Egypt (excluding anyone referred to in section 3).
For an Existing User and New User to earn points in the Referral Scheme they must complete the following steps during the Availability Period:
i) The Existing User must click on the Ramadan Rewards activity page in the TikTok App and click on the banner to receive a referral code;
ii) The Existing User must send the referral code to at least one (1) New User;
iii) One (1) New User must then: i) download and sign up to use the TikTok App and enter the Ramadan Rewards activity page and click on the new user reward pop-up window (“Step One”); and/or ii) enter the referral code received from the Existing User in the Ramadan Rewards activity page where stated (“Step Two”).
Once the above steps are complete, the Existing User and the New User’s TikTok account on the TikTok platform will be automatically with the following accrued points:
i) If the New User completes Step 1, the New User will receive two hundred (200) points;
ii) If New User completes Step 2, the New User will receive seven hundred (700) points;
iii) If the New User completes Step 2, the Existing User will receive five thousand (5000) points.
Existing Users can send the referral code to as many potential New Users as they want during the Availability Period and is eligible to accrue points for each successful New User referral subject to these Terms.
In the event that a New User receives a referral code by more than one (1) Existing User, the New User is only entitled to receive a maximum of two hundred (200) points for completing Step 1 (i.e. the equivalent of completing Step 1 once) and a maximum of five hundred (500) points of completing Step 2 (i.e. the equivalent of completing Step 2 once), subject to these Terms.
For the avoidance of doubt, once a New User has downloaded and signed up to the TikTok App and completed Step 1 and/or Step 2 as set out in the Referral Scheme Section above, the New User will be deemed an Existing User in accordance with these Terms and is eligible to participate in the Additional Tasks and earn points.
Additional Tasks
During the Availability Period, an Existing User may earn points by completing any of the
following activities:
i) Creating and Posting a Video
If the Existing User creates and posts a video on their TikTok account on the TikTok App which celebrates Ramadan and complies with the Community Guidelines with the following hashtag #صحتك_في_رمضان (each a “Ramadan Video”).
The Existing User will receive two thousand five hundred (2500) points for each Ramadan Video posted in accordance with these Terms. The Existing User is entitled to receive a maximum of twenty-five thousand (25,000) points from posting Ramadan Videos (i.e. the equivalent of posting ten (10) Ramadan Videos). Although the Existing User may post as many Ramadan Videos per day during the Availability Period as they wish, the Existing User is entitled to receive a maximum of two thousand five hundred (2500) points per day (i.e. only one (1) Ramadan Video per day will be eligible to accrue points).
ii) Share a Ramadan Rewards Scheme Referral Page
If the Existing User shares the TikTok Ramadan Rewards Scheme referral page on their TikTok account on the TikTok App (each a “Referral Page Share”).
The Existing User will receive seven hundred and fifty (750) points each time they complete a Referral Page Share in accordance with these Terms. The Existing User is entitled to receive a maximum of seven thousand five hundred (7,500) points by completing a Referral Page Share (i.e. the equivalent of ten (10) H5 Page Shares). Although the Existing User may make as many Referral Page Shares during the Availability Period as they wish, the Existing User is entitled to receive a maximum of seven hundred and fifty (750) points per day (i.e. only one Referral Page Share per day will be eligible to accrue points).
iii) Watching a Ramadan Live Session
If the Existing User watches thirty (30) consecutive minutes of Live sessions on the TikTok App (each a “Live Session”).
The Existing User will receive five thousand (5000) points for each Live Session watched in accordance with these Terms. The Existing User is entitled to receive a maximum of one hundred thousand (100,000) points from watching Live Sessions (i.e. the equivalent of watching twenty (20) Live Sessions). Although the Existing User may watch as many Live Sessions per day during the Availability Period as they wish, the Existing User is entitled to receive a maximum of five thousand (5000) points per day (i.e. watching only one (1) Live Session per day will be eligible to accrue points).
iv) Host a Ramadan Live
If the Existing User hosts a Live session celebrating Ramadan on their TikTok account on the TikTok App (each a “Ramadan Live”).
The Existing User will receive five thousand (5000) points for each Ramadan Live they host. The Existing User is entitled to receive a maximum of one hundred thousand (100,000) points (i.e. the equivalent of hosting twenty (20) Ramadan Lives) from hosting Ramadan Lives. Although the Existing User may host as many Ramadan Lives per day during the Availability Period as they wish, the Existing User is entitled to receive a maximum of five thousand (5000) points per day (i.e. hosting only one (1) Ramadan Live per day will be eligible to accrue points).
After the Existing User has completed an Additional Task as set out above, the Existing User’s TikTok account on the TikTok platform will be automatically with the respective accrued points
6. Once the Existing User has earned at least three thousand (3000) points they may access the Ramadan Rewards activity page in the TikTok App, choose which promotion made available by a selected TikTok partner (a “Partner”) they wish to redeem, and click on the respective link to redeem the accrued points for a unique code issued to be used for the chosen Partner’s products and/or services (a “Voucher”).
Once the Existing User has received their Voucher, please click on the ‘use now’ button to visit the respective Partner’s website to redeem your Voucher.
Vouchers will only be issued during the Availability Period only. Each Existing User can receive a maximum of 5 Vouchers during the Reward Scheme
7. Redeeming a Voucher is subject to the respective Partner’s terms and conditions of the Voucher (the "Voucher Terms"), copies of which are available at the respective Partner’s website.
It is the responsibility of each relevant Existing User to comply with the Voucher Terms. The Voucher will expire on 31 May 2021 after which (in accordance with the Voucher Terms) it may not be possible to spend or redeem the Voucher. TikTok accepts no responsibility or any liability if the Voucher becomes valueless or unusable for any reason after the date of issue.
8. By participating in the Reward Scheme, you agree to abide by these Terms, the Terms of Service available at https://www.tiktok.com/legal/terms-of-service?lang=en and the Community Guidelines available at https://www.tiktok.com/community-guidelines?lang=en . Our use of information submitted by you in connection with the Reward Scheme will be subject to these Terms, as well as to our privacy policy available at https://www.tiktok.com/en/privacy-policy.
9. TikTok reserves the right to refuse a claim for points or a Voucher if it has reasonable grounds to believe that there has been a: i) breach of these Terms, the Terms of Service or the Community Guidelines; ii) a misuse of TikTok's intellectual property rights; iii) any misrepresentation; iv) abuse of the Rewards Scheme; and/or v) any illegal or criminal activity (including fraud) in connection with the Reward Scheme.
10. No cash alternative is available and both the points and the Vouchers are non-transferable except if permitted by the Voucher Terms.
11. TikTok reserves the right to amend or withdraw the Reward Scheme (or to amend these Terms) at any time for any reason. Any referrals or Additional Tasks completed following the date of withdrawal of the Reward Scheme will not be eligible for a Voucher.
12. The Existing User is solely responsible for all use made of their Voucher. Subject to section 13 and except as expressly provided in these Terms, no representations, warranties, conditions or other terms are made, given or accepted by us and no other terms shall apply, as between us and any person, in relation to the Voucher, all of which we exclude to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13. Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability to anyone for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that, by law, may not be limited or excluded. Subject to this, in no event shall we be liable to anyone for any loss, damage or disappointment suffered as a result of any Existing User, New User or anyone else entering (or their inability to enter) the Reward Scheme or an Existing User’s acceptance or non-acceptance of a Voucher.
14. These Terms and the Reward Scheme shall be governed by the laws of Singapore and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts. In any court of law having jurisdiction to decide on the matter, rules that any of the Terms of this Reward Scheme are invalid, then the invalid portion of the Terms will be removed and replaced with the closest valid terms without affecting the rest of the Terms, and the remaining provisions of the Terms will continue to be valid and enforceable.
