TikTok Shop UK/EU: Imported customer reviews disclosure

What are imported reviews?
Imported reviews on TikTok Shop are provided by third party customer review platforms. These third party platforms collect reviews from other websites offering products also sold on TikTok Shop.
TikTok Shop strives to ensure imported reviews are genuine, lawful, and not misleading. Reviews from third parties are only imported when processes are in place to ensure this.
As imported reviews are collected and provided by a third party, TikTok Shop cannot always guarantee that:

• the review was written by a genuine customer of the relevant product or that the review is objective, honest, and not offensive;
• the review was written by someone not paid or given an incentive to write a positive review; and
• there are no variations between the product you’re buying and the product that was reviewed.

If we become aware that any imported reviews shown on TikTok Shop do not meet these standards, we will remove the relevant imported reviews.
