- If you choose to use face technically based effects, filters, templates, and other optimized video editing features, we collect and analyze face information in videos, photos and other materials you input. For example, an effect that adds sunglasses to your face may need to know where your eyes are on the screen in order to correctly position the sunglasses on your face.
We also collect and analyze face information in videos, photos and other materials you input to improve safety and user experience, to recommend and moderate content, and for analytics and demographic classification, such as inferred age range.
By uploading videos, photos and templates, using filters, effects, templates and other optimized video editing features, you agree to your face being used for these purposes. If you don’t agree to your face information being used for these purposes:
- Don't upload videos, photos or templates, use filters, templates, effects and other optimized video editing features; and
- Delete any videos, photos or other materials you uploaded to CapCut.
If you delete your CapCut account, any face-related information associated with your account will also be deleted.
Important things to know about when you create or post content on CapCut:
- If other people appear in your videos, photos, effects, or templates, you're responsible for making sure CapCut has the consent to collect and analyze their face information.
- We don't' use any face information to identify you or other people in your videos, templates, effects, photos, and we don't share such information with third parties.
- Once a filter, template or effect that uses face information has been added to your content, that information is deleted.
- Once your video, photo, or template has been analyzed for any other purpose described above, the face-related information collected is deleted.
